Non-Standing Executive
The Non-Standing Executive Committee (NSE) is the overarching body that coordinates the work of the Standing Committee Chairpersons and the Council. The NSE works towards managing the Council to be one which the student body can be proud of, by looking out for and supporting fellow councillors in every aspect, as well as empowering the Council to be the best they can be. Through their passion and dedication, the committee hopes to create a cohesive environment for the 41st Students' Council to give their all in serving the school, while remembering the interests of the student body.
Kenneth Pay [general treasurer]
A seemingly quiet and reserved guy (until you get to know him), he may seem difficult to approach, but don’t let that stop you! His interests change all the time, from listening to trashy pop music to watching Naruto to trying to operate Photoshop. As a councillor, Kenneth aims to touch the lives and hearts of those around him (hopefully in a good way!) Although Kenneth is quite blur and unaware of his surroundings a lot of time, he pledges to fumble around until he fulfills his dream of a better, brighter Hwa Chong!
Robbie Tan [general secretary]
Drawing Inspiration from Ed Sheeran’s amazingly unique voice, he tries his best to sing and make the surrounding environment as pleasant as possible. He’s on his way to achieving a grammy award for being shameless in the process of doing so. He’s actually hyperactive almost all the time because he wants to exude positive vibes so that everyone around him feels happy. He firmly believes in three guiding principles, 存好心，说好话，做好事. He will remain firmly rooted to the ground and promises to give it his all in everything he does. No what-ifs, No regrets.
April Chin [General Secretary]
She’s the happiest when she spends time with her friends and family because she loves being with people. She always thankful for those who stand by her no matter what and hopes that she can touch the lives of others in any small way.
She enjoys dancing and it is a passion she will alway keep deep in her heart.
Chua Sue Yu [vice-president]
Though small in size, she’s got a big heart filled with passion to serve the Hwa Chong family and the drive to press on in face of challenges. As the quote goes: "Keep your eyes on the stars and feet on the ground", she promises to constantly better herself, remain grounded by values and contribute to the best of her ability! Also, being active as a monkey, she hopes to bring joy, fun and laughter to those around her :)
Danyon Low [president]
With music tastes ranging from Ed Sheeran to Disney to Sara Bareilles to One Direction, he enjoys playing and singing songs in good atmosphere, with good company. In his spare time (if any), he may make amateur-ish attempts at poetry to vocalise his feelings and thoughts.
He believes that experience leads to growth, and greatly looks forward to the year ahead! Placing great value on friendships, he sincerely hopes that these two years will be the best yet for everyone around him (: He will remember always his purpose in running for council, and do his best not to let down those who have placed their trust in him, and leave with no what-ifs, no regrets
